Potato (Aloo) Jeera

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 tablespoons ghee or oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. 1. Heat ghee or oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. 3. Add the diced potatoes to the pan and sauté for a few minutes.
  4. 4. Sprinkle turmeric powder and salt over the potatoes. Stir well to coat.
  5. 5. Cover the pan and cook the potatoes until they are tender, stirring occasionally.
  6. 6. Once the potatoes are cooked through, garnish with fresh cilantro leaves.
  7. 7. Serve hot as a side dish or with puris during Navratri.
Plate your deliciously prepared Aloo Jeera and consume it with curd or kuttu paratha. Enjoy our meal. 😀
